Pediatric Therapies of Southeast Georgia is an independent pediatric therapy practice. Started in 2004 as a single therapist practice owned and operated by Karen Parks, Pediatric Therapies of Southeast Georgia is dedicated to providing occupational and speech therapy services in the setting that best meets the needs of the children they serve and their families. Recognizing that each child's needs are different, we began providing services in a variety of settings including the home, daycares, preschools, private schools and the clinic. Service location decisions are made with the health of the child, needs of the family and insurance requirements in mind. We provide services in Glynn, Camden, McIntosh Brantley, Charlton, Wayne, Ware, Coffee, Appling, and Pierce Counties. In addition, Pediatric Therapies of Southeast Georgia is aware of the many community resources and services available that may help enhance the lives of the children and families we work with and serve.

Karen has been a practicing pediatric occupational therapist for 23 years. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Human Development from Mercer University and a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She gained invaluable experience working in the Neonatal Intensive Care and Pediatric Intensive Care Units at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia, and Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Seeing a need to provide pediatric occupational therapy services in more rural community settings to serve children and families who cannot travel to major medical centers, Karen began providing services in the home and community settings in 2004.
